You are in [Themes] [Clubs and Groups] [Prior School of Dancing]

The dance school run by Roger and Rosemary Prior ran in the 1960s and 1970s.

Elizabeth Holway (nee Devlin) kindly contacted the Virtual Museum (August 2016) adding "I used to go to dancing classes on Saturdays at the British Legion. I also had some private lessons. They taught ballroom and Latin American. We took our dancing exams and attended competitions at the Westminster Ballrooms in London. We had a formation dancing team which used to perform at fêtes in the area. My cousins Hilma Franklin and Glynis Tanner also learned to dance at this school. [Incidentally I was born at 36 Church Way which was called 12 Dog Lane at that time in 1956.]"
