Albert Martin was born c1898, and lived at Marsh Gate.

In 1973, his great nephew, Gary Tubb, recorded an interview with him, when Bert described life in Hungerford in the early 20th century - his education, his work, the cost of living, and many other interesting topics.

Gary kindly sent this recording to the Virtual Museum (July 2018) offering it for sharing in our audio archive:
