You are in [Places] [Marsh Gate Properties]

The Marsh Gate, at the western end of Marsh Lane, leads on to Freeman's Marsh. A number of interesting properties lie in the area.

The cluster of properties was historically well outside the main part of the town, and it was here that the Pest House was built, probably in the very early 17th century.

Another very early property was Isbury Cottage.

The terrace of small cottages running south from the gate was demolished in the 1970s, and replaced by a modern development.
