You are in [Places] [Listed Buildings]

The "List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest" (or "Listed Buildings" for short) changes over the years. Much original work and external inspection of buildings in Hungerford was carried out in 1951, and a printed updated list was produced in June 1984. The list below is based on the 1984 compilation.

The "Listed Buildings" are now available on the internet, which should always be consulted as the definitive listing, at
www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/england/berkshire/hungerford.

There are about 125 Listed Buildings, (of which 3 are Grade II*), as well as various barns, milestones, tombs and architectural features - a remarkable number for such a small town.
